**Duties**:
This position facilitates learning experiences that enable students to successfully identify, attain, and complete internships as part of our MBA program (90% International students).
- Deliver the internship preparation course (MBAA 552) in a team-based format.
- Deliver the internship course (MBAA 550).
- Develop relevant and up-to-date course materials related to career information, resume writing, value clarification, interview techniques, professional correspondence creating job search techniques, employability skills, reflection practices, and individual career exploration and planning.
- Facilitate learning experiences that equip students to develop professional career documents and successfully interview for jobs.
- Coach and advise students in one-to-one, small group, and classroom environments.
- Evaluate student performance in their internships.

Other:

- Develop and maintain a professional network of potential employers.
- Participate in maintaining and improving processes, materials, and administrative practices.
- Represent the Faculty of Management to external groups, participating in trade shows, and professional bodies aligned with program responsibility.
- Establish high-functioning collaborative relationships with faculty and departments.
- Attend relevant meetings associated with the MBA program and/or the Faculty of Management.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

This position involves some travel.

**Required Qualifications**:
Master's degree in a field related to Business, Social Science, or Education from an appropriately accredited institution. Minimum three years of recent experience in career education, coaching, and development, or employment services working with youth and adults. A combination of a Bachelor's degree and practical experience in the field may be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate learning and develop educational resource materials in a variety of formats.
- Experience in experiential learning environments including work-integrated learning, career and employment education, training, advising, and support.
- Understanding of labour market analysis, expert knowledge of employability and transferable skills, and successful strategies for their development.
- Proven aptitude for liaising with employers and community service agencies to develop experiential learning opportunities for students.
- Ability to assess, monitor and evaluate learning in a variety of work experience settings.
- Aptitude for working in intercultural environments with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Understanding of the unique needs and challenges of international students, coming to Canada from a range of countries, in relation to career engagement and development locally and the interaction between students and employers.
- Ability to work with Indigenous populations. Understanding of and practical ability to recognize Indigenous ways of knowing and learning.
- Ability to write clearly and communicate ideas in a variety of ways.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Capacity to creatively solve problems.
- Class 5 BC Driver's License with a confirmed satisfactory driving record

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Coaching credential.
- Experience in career education in a post-secondary setting.
- Recent knowledge and/or experience in the delivery of experiential education and work-integrated learning.
- Additional courses in related area, e.g. career counselling, marketing, program development and labour market information.
- Proven interviewing and counselling skills.
- Knowledge of business and related fields.
