We operate in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. In 2021, SilverChef Canada acquired Econolease, a Canadian based business also operating in the hospitality equipment financing sector. Our team members at Econolease include approximately 60 employees, mostly in the Toronto area, and our SilverChef Canada team includes approximately 50 employees, mostly in Vancouver area. Both teams have Sales Reps located across Canada.

We are currently seeking a People Advisor to join our growing team Reporting to the Vice President, People, with a dotted line into the President of Econolease, the role of the People Advisor, will support all team members in Canada across both the SilverChef and Econolease bands. The role will be located in Econolease’s Markham, Ontario office.

Specifically, the role will include:

- Providing Human Resources knowledge and specialized support by focusing on continuous improvement of processes and implementing people and culture best practices.
- Accountable for the coordination and administration of onboarding including new hire communications, learning system administration, delivery of onboarding content, supporting leaders with onboarding learning plans, as well as continuous improvement of the new hire orientation process.
- Planning, management and administration of employee programs, recognition programs, and assist with company-wide events.
- Review policies, procedures and processes and provide recommendations to achieve successful business outcomes.
- Provide generalist knowledge and sound advice on policy and people matters to leaders that helps to drive business outcomes.
- Develop strong knowledge and understanding of Company policies and procedures to support leaders and business priorities.
- Promote an endorse the achievements and initiatives of the People Team to the wider business.
- Provide Human Resources administrative support, including maintaining employee and company records and systems, overseeing benefits administration, coordinating building card access and reporting
- Assist P&C Leader with various projects and tasks, as assigned.

**What you will need to be successful in this role**:

- Qualification in Human Resources is required (bachelor’s degree, certificate program completion)
- 2 to 5 years related experience in a Human Resources capacity
- Previous experience in full cycle recruitment
- Experience in benefits administration would be well regarded
- Administrative experience and successful delivery of administrative tasks and projects
- Comprehensive understanding of laws and statutory requirements related to Human Resources management function.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of diplomacy, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills including proven experience in building effective stakeholder relationships
- Highly effective administrative, planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Friendly, helpful, approachable, flexible and change resilient
- Sound computer literacy
