Civic Mechanical is looking to hire an estimator to join the team

Estimating of commercial, residential, and service plumbing projects
- Blueprint analysis
- Researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best pricing and quotes from suppliers/subcontractors
- Analyzing data that can affect construction costs ie. Exchange rates, productivity.
- Ordering of long lead items on awarded projects
- Reviewing estimates with project teams
- Liaising with clients and suppliers
- Assessing financial, technical, and operational risks associated with construction projects
- Staying up to date with current codes, technologies, and legislative requirements
- Keeping detailed records associated with estimates
- Input of projects being bid or tendered

Experience in the plumbing trade and estimating is an asset. Journeyman plumber preferred but not required.

Past or present experience in the trades is a must.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Reader
