ABLE Engineering Services is a versatile, experienced, multi-disciplinary engineering firm that works on a wide range of projects. We excel in civil and structural engineering, surveying and the design of infrastructure systems for commercial, residential, governmental and industrial projects. We are currently seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our teams in our South Shore (Chester) and Annapolis Valley (New Minas) offices.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings, charts, and plans
- Perform research for property/title, recorded survey plans, etc.
- Help prepare data and projects for field crew
- Keep records, measurements, site, project, and other survey information in systematic order
- Assist in the calculation, analysis and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys
- Any and all responsibilities assigned by the department head.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Field work experience considered an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of land surveying considered an asset
- Knowledge of the principles, techniques and instruments used in drafting
- Knowledge of coordinate-based software including Carlson, Micro Survey and/or Civil 3D considered an asset
- AutoCAD and Carlson experience considered an asset
- 2+ years of drafting experience highly preferred
- Strong and proven spatial recognition skills
- Formal survey technician training and/or formal training for an Engineering Technologies program from an accredited institution considered an asset.
- Strong listening, communication and organizational skills required
