We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Survey Technician to join our team at 2263162 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for conducting field surveys and operating survey instruments and computer equipment to measure distance, angles, elevations, and contours.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Field Surveys: Conduct field surveys to gather data and information for various projects, including land surveying and engineering projects.
- Operate Survey Instruments: Operate survey instruments and devices, such as total stations, GPS systems, and levels, to collect data and measurements.
- Assist in Data Analysis: Assist in the calculation, analysis, and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys.
- Prepare Detailed Drawings: Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings, charts, and plans from survey data.
- Maintain Records: Keep records, measurements, and other survey information in systematic order.
- Collaborate with Survey Engineers: Assist survey engineers or professional surveyors to develop methods and procedures for conducting field surveys.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field, such as surveying, geomatics, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in surveying or a related field.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and ability to work at heights.
