The Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) works with communities, service providers, and other partners across Ontario to move evidence to action and create sustainable change in Ontario’s mental health and addictions system. With expertise in knowledge mobilization, implementation, evaluation, equity, and engagement—PSSP is on the ground and collaborating with stakeholders to build a better system.

The Understanding Mental Health and Well-Being in Later-Life project that aims to raise awareness of mental health and addiction issues among older adults in the community and promote help-seeking behaviours. Reporting to the Manager of Knowledge Mobilization, the Research Methods Specialist will play a key role in supporting the project, as well as PSSP’s Knowledge Mobilization portfolio in identifying and responding to knowledge gaps and needs in Ontario’s mental health, substance use and addictions system.

PSSP is currently seeking a full-time, contract (until December 2023) Research Methods Specialist. The Research Methods Specialist will employ their expertise in conducting systematic reviews, rapid reviews, evidence briefs, and jurisdictional scans to lead and engage in a variety of initiatives, projects, and activities. The Research Methods specialist will also have expertise in the theory, models, frameworks, tools, and practice of knowledge mobilization and evaluation. The role will include:

- Conducting literature searches, environmental scans, needs assessments and consultations to understand stakeholders’ evidence gaps and needs;
- Leading and developing tailored evidence resources to enhance understanding and uptake, including developing various forms of reviews, evidence briefs, infographics and other resources that are responsive to the decision-making needs of researchers, policy makers, and health care decision-makers across Ontario;
- Designing and implementing initiatives, data visualization, and publishing to advance the field of knowledge mobilization and demonstrate impact;
- Providing coaching and training, and consistently reviewing and sharing emerging research and evidence.

**Qualifications**:
**Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.**

**Please Note**: This full-time, contract (until December 2023) position is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit.

**Salary Range**: $38.21 - $$51.54 per hour
