2023 Summer Wealth Management, 4 Months, Portfolio Management & Client Lifecycle - Analyst

**What is the opportunity?**

This opportunity is a summer contract position for 4 months with RBC Wealth Management Canada’s Business Initiatives Team in Toronto, working on the Portfolio Management and Client Lifecycle Transformational Initiatives. We are seeking highly motivated students who want to have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills. As a Summer Student at Wealth Management Canada, you will fill a critical role supporting the Business Initiatives Team at RBC Wealth Management Canada while learning about the business.

**What will you do?**

**Product Management**
- Ensure stories and releases are captured and updated
- Assist with preparing presentations for delivery to business, technology partners and management teams as required
- Problem solve and resolve issues that arise during project delivery and provide timely responses and solution options as required

**Data / Reporting**
- Assist with data requirements gathering, business case development, data analysis and reporting
- Build and maintain a repository of reusable data requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise standards
- Assist with updating and creating excel-based reporting tools

**Requirements**:

- Facilitate collaborative sessions with diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review e.g. Taking notes, sending updates after meetings and preparing PowerPoint presentations

**Administration**
- Organize our Confluence/Jira Page
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and coordinate among groups from initiation to closure and facilitate knowledge transfer and collaboration, coordinating information flow between project participants
- ** Ensure RBC is better off after your Co-Op term e.g. Provide solutions, suggestions and candid review of the opportunities you believe we can leverage**

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must Have**
- Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on commerce, finance or business administration
- Advanced MS Office skills - Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Advanced Excel skills with Macros and Pivot Tables
- Ability to understand the value and downfalls of various sources of info and providing a pragmatic approach to tackle the situation
- Be able to laugh when things go wrong and celebrate yourself and others when you hit it out of the park
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to deal with ambiguity, critical, analytical thinker that leverages innovative ideas
- Results oriented, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Ability/experience building strategic business relationships with stakeholders and other team members. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to clearly document and explain processes and automated solution designs
- Strong self-directed team player with a bias for action and ability to deal with multiple competing priorities

**Nice to have**
- Prior experience working at a Full-Service Brokerage
