**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

Delta 9 Bio-Tech Inc. is a Winnipeg based, federally licensed producer of cannabis. Delta 9 is a Manitoba leader with a dynamic and “growing” work environment. We are currently seeking a high energy, self-motivated **Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technician** to join our Integrated Pest Management Team. This is a full-time position with a variable schedule. Initial schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. This position will require a scheduled shift change after the probationary period that may include any five working days between Monday to Sunday based on departmental needs. Shifts will be scheduled for working hours between 6:00 am - 8:30 pm. The IPM Technician will be scheduled for 8 hrs./day (40 hrs./week) at the discretion of the IPM Supervisor based on departmental needs. This position will require shift flexibility, weekend work, holiday work, and/or overtime work, as required. The IPM Technician will report to the IPM Supervisor and will complete a schedule of daily tasks as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Operation, sanitation, troubleshooting and maintenance of backpack sprayers, hydraulic sprayers, and ultra-low volume sprayers.
- Application and assessment of pest monitoring devices for both the cannabis and non-cannabis pest control program in accordance with SOPs.
- Pest Identification.
- Cannabis crop scouting and monitoring for pests and signs of infestation and/or disease.
- Recording data and creating scouting and pre-harvest reports.
- Completing, maintaining, and reviewing IPM history, data bank, records, and reports.
- Completing and maintaining IPM lab sanitation and inventory checks.
- Documentation preparation and completion in accordance with SOPs.
- Cross-training in Cultivation and Processing activities to develop an understanding of techniques including but not limited to propagation, transplanting, pruning, trimming, and pre-rolls.
- Supporting departmental standard operating procedure and work instruction creation and revision.
- Supporting trials, scheduling and the weekly “odds & ends” task list.
- Other duties as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Knowledge of cannabis plant anatomy, greenhouse pests, viruses and diseases is considered an asset.
- Understanding of good documentation practices.
- Manual dexterity and motor coordination.
- Good hand-eye coordination.

**ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must have completed high school with diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
- Able to successfully write and pass closed-book in-person and/or online exams to obtain a Provincial Commercial Pesticide Applicator License a minimum of once every five years.
- Ability to obtain a Manitoba Core, Greenhouse, and Structural Commercial Pesticide Applicator License - required for this role.
- Able to attain reliable transportation to and from the facility.
- Able to follow strict standard operating procedures.
- Able to work flexible hours including scheduled shift changes, overtime, weekends, and holidays if required.

- Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to scrubs, a full-face and/or half-face respirator, spectacle kit, chemical-resistant boots and gloves, eye protection, water-proof jackets and/or chemical resistant coveralls, non-medical masks, disposable gloves, hair nets and beard nets, as required.
