**About this role**:
**Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens located in Winnipeg, Manitoba** is currently recruiting for a full-time Seasonal Groundsperson.
Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens currently has 80 developed acres and is presently performing 750 interments annually.
This position is based on a 40-hour work week and may change as required for the needs of the business including working overtime as required.
**Job Type**:Temporary, Contract (6 months)
**Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities**:
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Mechanically inclined having either formal mechanical training or experience would be an asset.
- Heavy equipment operator’s training or certification would be an asset.
- A certificate in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) would be an asset.
- A team player, with a positive attitude and the ability to multitask and set priorities.
- Previous landscaping, horticultural and/or cemetery experience, and a demonstrated interest in working outdoors would be assets.
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.

**Responsibilities**:
- All aspects of cemetery care including customer service, memorial and monument installations, equipment maintenance and grounds maintenance and internments.
