About the Role

At Family Services of Greater Vancouver, we’ve been helping people in crisis since 1928. As a non-profit, we help people develop skills and knowledge, empowering our neighbours to create positive change in their lives. Our team is made up of more than 420 staff, including expert counsellors and support workers who provide compassionate, client-centered care to youth experiencing homelessness, families and children impacted by trauma, victims of domestic violence, and other vulnerable people from an evidence-based, trauma-informed lens. What you bring

**Education, Training, Experience**
- Minimum of a Grade 12 diploma, plus 2-years of post secondary education in business or administration
- 3-years office coordination experience and administrative experience
- Previous experience working in a non-profit is an asset

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills
- Kind, calm and welcoming manner and ability to relate well to children, youth and adults, clients and professionals, in person and on the phone, while working in a fast paced environment
- Strong ability to multitask, showing initiative and flexibility
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe and database software skills and ability to adapt to and learn various software and client database programs; experience using SharePoint & JANEapp an asset

**Additional Requirements**
- Fluent in English & Chinese
- Passionate about the Counselling, Trauma & Victim Services Programs, and supporting marginalized populations
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination status will be required
