**General Responsibilities**:
The Assistant Accommodations Manager reports directly to the Accommodations Manager and oversees Accommodation Operations for Manning Park Resort. This includes daily operations & administrative duties of housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, front desk & night audit to ensure all aspects of guest accommodations meet the highest standards. A very strong background in Housekeeping Management is required, so if you're an experienced Housekeeping Manager looking for the next step in your career, this could be an exciting opportunity.

Rent-free housing in a new furnished 1 bedroom apartment is provided, so this package with salary, housing and benefits is valued at approximately $80,000 per year.

**Job Duties**:

- Maintain an elevated level of professionalism, providing exceptional guest service at all points of contact
- Maintain housekeeping stock and complete orders as required
- Ensure optimal cleanliness and sanitation of facilities to meet or exceed MPR standards
- Provide leadership, motivation, training, and support to ensure efficient operation and positive work environment for the accommodations department
- Administer booking channels & group reservations
- Ensure a positive, communicative, and constructive work environment throughout the accommodations department
- Work with the housekeeping supervisors to create efficient operations while ensuring cleanliness and maintenance standards are upheld or exceeded
- Review and respond to guest issues or feedback in a timely manner and oversee issue escalations
- Monitor and record productivity of accommodations department
- Identify, create, and uphold processes that establish high customer service standards
- Co-ordinate, assign and review tasks of accommodations department team members
- Support the Accommodations Manager to establish work schedules based on business levels
- Review and approve timesheets
- Work towards continuous improvement and quality in all areas

**Job Requirements / Qualifications**:

- Experience supervising the front desk and housekeeping departments in a similar resort environment
- Ability to empathize and resolve team needs, complaints, and conflicts
- Scheduling and general administrative duties related to accommodation; we use Payworks for scheduling and payroll, so experience in Payworks or another similar system is required
- Knowledge of accommodation, best practices & SOPs
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Team player and a initiative-taker, with the ability to effectively work independently as required
- Professional in attitude and appearance
- Well organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work within and promote an innovative and multi-tasked environment
- Must be flexible to work as business levels dictate
- Minimum Class 5 clean driver's license

**_This is a year-round position with a minimum commitment of 1 year - our ideal start date is May 21, 2024_**
