Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ensures quality production standards are maintained for all accounts
- Maintains Company policies and procedures as well as specification books for airline customers and serve as a knowledgeable resource relative to those policies.
- Controls food cost and other controllable costs
- Works with management staff to improve performance of the unit
- Prepares management reports (ex. attendance, HAACCP and labor) reports as required.
- Responsible for safety, quality and compliance to customer specifications and regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Ensures specifications, airline diagrams, and other standards are accurate according to the airline specifications.
- Ensures that all products are coded according to Gate Gourmet procedures.
- Conducts inventory of Gate Gourmet products and customer materials to ensure proper usage and minimization of waste.
- Responsible for maintaining daily temperature logs and other logs and reports as required.
- Works with maintenance staff to ensure preventive maintenance of machinery according to schedules, reports maintenance and repair issues in timely manner.
- Trains and monitors employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity with minimum labor and food costs
- Responsible for performance evaluation, coaching, counseling and preparing corrective action for employees and liaises appropriately with HR and other support functions.
- Manages work flow balancingthe division of responsibilities amongst employees on each shift
- Manages daily manpower planning including assignment of responsibilities and workstations.
- Determines when and whether to call employees in to cover staffing needs (ex. sick calls, vacation relief, medical leaves, volume changes, etc.)
- In conjunction with department leaders determines number of employees needed by shift
- Responsible for employee retention and monitors employee turnover.

- _Travaille avec le personnel de gestion pour améliorer les performances de l'unité_
- _Prépare les rapports de gestion (ex. présence, HAACCP et main-d'œuvre) au besoin._
- _Responsable de la sécurité, de la qualité et de la conformité aux spécifications des clients, aux exigences réglementaires et aux politiques et procédures de l'entreprise._
- _S'assure que les spécifications, les schémas des compagnies aériennes et les autres normes sont conformes aux spécifications des compagnies aériennes._
- _S'assure que tous les produits sont codés selon les procédures de Gate Gourmet._
- _Effectue l'inventaire des produits Gate Gourmet et des matériaux des clients pour assurer une utilisation appropriée et la minimisation des déchets._
- _Responsable du maintien des journaux de température quotidiens et d'autres journaux et rapports au besoin._
- _Travaille avec le personnel d'entretien pour assurer l'entretien préventif des machines selon les horaires, signale les problèmes d'entretien et de réparation en temps opportun._
- _Forme et surveille les employés sur les procédures de travail appropriées pour assurer une productivité maximale avec des coûts de main-d'œuvre et de nourriture mínimaux_
- _Responsable de l'évaluation des performances, de l'encadrement, du conseil et de la préparation des mesures correctives pour les employés et assure la liaison appropriée avec les RH et les autres fonctions de support._
- _Gère la planification quotidienne de la main-d'œuvre, y compris l'attribution des responsabilités et des postes de travail._
- _Détermine quand et s'il convient d'appeler les employés pour couvrir les besoins en personnel (par exemple, les appels de maladie, les vacances, les congés médicaux, les changements de volume, etc.)_
- _En collaboration avec le gestionnaire, détermine le nombre d'employés nécessaires par quart de travail_
- _Responsable de la rétention des employés et surveille le roulement du personnel._

**Education**:

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Culinary certificate is preferred
- Éducation:_
- _Diplôme d'études secondaires ou GED requis_
- _Un certificat culinaire est préférable_

Work Experience:

- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, and/or restaurant/catering environment or equivalent experience in the related field is preferred
