Job Résumé:
Superviser toutes les activités des chauffeurs, des dockers et des autres membres du personnel d'exploitation. Utilise les ressources disponibles pour déplacer le fret de la manière la plus sûre et la plus rentable afin de répondre ou de dépasser les attentes des clients et d'atteindre les objectifs de l'entreprise.

Tâches du poste:

- Élaborer un plan de livraison quotidien en utilisant l'équipement, la main-d'œuvre et d'autres ressources pour assurer une opération efficace et efficiente.
- Superviser toutes les activités des chauffeurs et des dockers responsables du chargement/déchargement efficace des remorques ainsi que du ramassage et de la livraison productifs du fret chez les clients.
- Gérer les affectations de travail, surveiller les performances et fournir une formation sur les tâches, les politiques et les procédures de l'entreprise.
- Responsable de l'embauche, de la formation, de la discipline et du licenciement du personnel. 5. Gérer la procédure de grief du personnel syndiqué.
- Communique le programme de sécurité de l'entreprise et applique les règles de sécurité et le respect de toutes les réglementations gouvernementales.
- S'assurer que les bonnes méthodes de travail sont utilisées en tout temps.
- Utiliser un jugement indépendant et recommander efficacement des actions du personnel conformément à la politique, aux procédures et au langage contractuel de l'entreprise. Fournir un encadrement et une documentation appropriés des actions.
- Remplir les documents nécessaires avec précision et en temps opportun pour assurer un flux d'informations efficace et régulier.
- Connaissance approfondie et utilisation efficace de la convention collective locale.

Les conditions de travail:

- Il s'agit d'une opération 24h/24 et 7j/7,
- Ce poste travaillera sur le quart de cimetière.
- Il sera éventuellement nécessaire de faire des rotations de poste.

**Job Duties**:

- Develop daily delivery plan utilizing equipment, manpower and other resources to ensure an effective, efficient operation.
- Supervise all activities of drivers and dockworkers responsible for efficient loading/unloading of trailers along with productive pick-up and delivery of freight at customer locations.
- Manage work assignments, monitor performance and provide training on job duties, company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the hiring, training, discipline and termination of personnel. 5. Manage the grievance procedure for union personnel.
- Communicates company safety program and enforces safety rules and compliance with all government regulations.
- Ensure proper work methods are utilized at all times.
- Utilize independent judgment and effectively recommend personnel actions in accordance with company policy, procedures and contractual language. Provide appropriate coaching and documentation of actions.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner to ensure an efficient and steady flow of information.
- Extensive knowledge and effective use of the local union contract.

Competencies / Requirements:

- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required in both English and French.
- A college diploma or university degree in business or transportation administration or equivalent experience preferred.
- Several years of supervisory experience related to freight traffic required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and train terminal operations personnel.

Working Conditions:
**This is a 24/7 operations,**

**This position will be working on graveyard shift.**

**Possible will be required to do shift rotations.**
