Manager, Content Strategy and Media Sales

This position will be responsible for leading Air Canada's overall strategy, development, deployment of curated content across all Air Canada's digital multimedia channels: in-flight entertainment, inflight connectivity and other digital platforms and various events in support of the company's brand and Product experience. Curated content includes all content developed by third parties to support the Air Canada customer experience. This role will also be responsible for Air Canada's Multi-media sales portfolio, inclusive of owning and managing the digital inventory slated for partner and 3rd party advertising.
This position reports to the Director, In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity
- Own and manage Air Canada's on-board content curation strategy for; In-Flight Entertainment, Connectivity and digital advertising.
- Develop annual business plans that align with corporate objectives for customer retention and acquisition strategies.
- Be the bridge between various partnership teams as it pertains to digital advertising inventory.
- Manage and own the relationships between Air Canada and various Content Service Providers, Content and or Media studios and Air Canada's Content partners.
- Own and manage the relationships between Air Canada and its Media Sales agency of record.
- Be the Air Canada representative and relationship owner on all advertiser accounts
- Work in collaboration with Aeroplan on the execution of all committed adverting media.
- Own the content roadmap development, inclusive of all technology related content partnerships (i.e., On-Board streaming Music, TV or on-demand content).
- Own and manage the Long-Range content and media sales planning from a product roadmap and financial perspective.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor degree in either a business or design discipline
- 5 years in management relationship
- Creative disposition with a keen sense of brands, trends and developments in the media and entertainment industry
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong leadership & negotiating skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Active listener
- Strong ability to create and foster cooperation (relationship management)
- Business savvy
