**SUMMARY**

The **Quality Manager **shall promote the commitment to continuous process improvement through quality initiatives throughout the company. The role of the Quality Manager is to prepare and submit the quality contract deliverables under their responsibility and to support operations in their daily activities related to quality which includes being the point of contact for all audit activities. The Quality Manager has the responsibility and authority for ensuring that a Quality Management System for BGIS is established, implemented, maintained and updated in accordance with ISO 9001/2008 and all current revisions.

This role will work in collaboration with all key BGIS departments to ensure full support of all activities and play a key role in our INTEGRATED approach to operating buildings.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Safety Ownership and Regulatory Compliance**
- Comply with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection and mandated by BGIS Health Safety and Environment Teams and enforced by law.
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve BGIS quality management system;
- Promote the usage and maintenance of the online repository for the official documents (SDR); Responsible for quality management-related processes and procedures;
- Train team members in basic and advanced quality and internal auditing courses;
- Conduct internal audit mandates as described in the multi-year internal audit plan;
- Document high level technical files;
- Develop root cause analysis and action plans;
- Assist team members with supply chain management through the implementation of a new service provider audit system
- Manage the BGIS non-conformance, opportunities for improvement and incident processes and ensure they are properly reported and managed, including working with our Client on implementing new standards;
- Support writing, implementing and maintaining corporate and client specific policies and procedures with regards to quality;
- Provide liaison to the clients on quality related matters;
- Provide direction to internal departments on quality system issues and requirements;
- Manage a team of quality advocates and provide guidance on ongoing quality initiatives

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**
- 5-10 years’ relevant work experience
- University graduation or professional certification (e.g. P. Eng, CMA, CGA or equivalent courses)
- Experience in quality assurance or quality management principles
- Knowledge of financial controls and audits
- Project management skills
- High level written communication skills including technical writing abilities
- Verbal communication skills
- Effective public speaking skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to develop, analyze and understand complex processes
- Sound judgment skills based on observation of objective evidence
- Ability to perform with minimum direct supervision
- Experience in managing people
- Autonomy and professional judgement
