**Role Summary**

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will play a key role in the success of our civil operations/maintenance projects. This is a permanent full-time position with extended health benefits, RRSP matching, company supplied vehicle and gas card.

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise, coordinate and manage daily operations for municipal road maintenance and additional projects as required.
- Provide inspections to monitor the quality and progress of the work being performed.
- Provide inspection reports as per the client specifications.
- Hire, supervise/manage staff; perform performance reviews and coach/mentor staff.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, internal operations staff to resolve issues or concerns.
- Facilitate safety meetings, site planning meetings as required.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials to job sites as required.
- Prepare a deficiency list and schedule for completion Issue substantial and total completion, when appropriate
- Drive work vehicles and trailers as applicable to and from sites.
- Daily reporting of work completed - compile monthly reporting to submit to client.
- Communicate daily progress, job timelines and issues to management team.
- Observe and record any issues when completing required inspections.
- Understand the hazards and safe work procedures for each task and inspection location.

- Have a forward-looking approach and the ability to foresee potential issues and problems so these items can be addressed and resolved.

- Dedicated, with an all-hands-on-deck attitude towards completing the work efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to change priorities and be adaptable.

- Communicates effectively both written and verbal.

**Education and Experience**
- Proven previous management of operations and people management.
- Safety knowledge and experience conducting municipal road maintenance.
- Snow removal experience on public roads
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a clean driving record and the ability to drive with the Province of BC.
- Proven previous knowledge of organizing and compiling reports/logs.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
