About This Opportunity:
The
**Marketing Specialist I **role is responsible for managing all Marketing activities for the Retail West and Retail East Accounts, including Circle K, 7-Eleven, PetroCanada, Shell, London Drugs and BestBuy, among other. The Marketing Specialist I also manages the relationship with display and POP print suppliers such as Marketing Impact & Twin Pro. Finally, the Marketing Specialist I is responsible for compiling and sending the Monthly Marketing Highlights newsletter to all organization, and for the managing the execution of the Shipper Programs to all Retailers, including Walmart, Metro and Circle K, among others. This role is based in the Mississauga, ON office. Bilingual (English / French) skills are desirable, but not required.

As a
**Marketing Specialist I**, you will report to the Marketing Manager of the Canadian Operation and will be responsible for retailer and product marketing projects. You will be essential to our efforts in executing our plans in collaboration with our merchant and product partners across Canada. **Responsibilities**:

- Primary instore retail display contact with internal teams and external supplier.
- Marketing / Promotion contact for InComm Retail and Brand Partner teams.
- Design and review artwork produced for digital or print media, including but not limited to proof reading, artwork design review and distributing to teams for approval and signoff.
- Work closely with InComm’s Retail and Brand Partner Management teams to jointly design, implement and execute marketing strategies and plans in support of shared goals.
- Manage marketing projects from concept through execution.
- Establishes and sustains interactive relationships with external vendors to support the goals of the organization and to benchmark practices/results against competition.
- Support business teams with promotional planning, in store fixtures and signage.
- When required, participate in sales account business planning meetings.
- When required, participate in customer calls to drive marketing strategy, gain knowledge to use in strategic and tactical planning, and support the field sales teams.
- In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, create, execute, and report on merchant specific marketing and promotional plans to meet both InComm Payments and merchant financial goals.
- Gather and assimilate field and internal information.
- Provide recommendations to the Account Management teams and to marketing management on appropriate direction for display and design execution to meet sales strategies, tactics, and goals.
- As required, develop presentations, sales aids, and promotional material

- Permanent in store displays and shelf space
- Disseminate competitive intelligence
- Monitor the on-going effectiveness of Marketing plans and track marketing programs.
- Proactively contribute to a collaborative and supportive partnership within the Marketing team and with cross functional teams including Operations, Finance, Corporate Development, Compliance, Legal, etc.
- Ensures that all advertising development processes run smoothly, and marketing programs are delivered on time.
- Work collaboratively with internal partners in merchandising, e-commerce, advertising, retail operations and vendor partners to ensure that all print, web, and broadcast deadlines are met.
- Keeps leader informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and “team” approach.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing and marketing project management, or position of similar responsibilities.
