Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.

The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. About The Role

**Position**: Mill Maintenance Reliability Technician

**Schedule**: Shift 5/2 & 4/3 - 9-hour days

**Position Reports To**: Senior Asset Reliability Specialist

Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Asset Reliability Specialist, the successful applicant will be maintaining and developing the predictive/preventative maintenance program for the fixed plant assets.

Key Responsibilities

Be the champion of reliability centered maintenance activities, utilizing world class, professional maintenance techniques to drive equipment reliability to the highest possible levels.
Collecting and analyzing vibration data.
Ultrasonic thickness testing.
Leading role in precision maintenance activities and best practices, including laser alignments, bearing mounting, optimal lubrication techniques and practices.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Participate and lead root cause failure analysis.
Participate in major breakdown work and champion the prevention of future occurrences.
Care and control of all predictive equipment (vibration analyzer, thermal imaging, rotalign, strobes, tachometers, ultrasonic thickness tester.)
Reporting vibration issues and trends and working with machinery health software (Spartacus, Fluid Life.)
Interpretation of oil analysis results, working with lube technicians.
Support operations and maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
Plan and schedule mechanical integrity inspections. Requires prioritization of assets, risk-based assessments, recommending remedial actions, and organizing third party inspections if required.
Work with planning team to incorporate high priority reliability tasks into weekly and shutdown schedules.

**Qualifications**:
Journeyman trades ticket required.
Vibration and lubrication analysis certification is considered an asset.
Expected to have experience in similar roles and knowledge of plant maintenance disciplines.
Proven communication skills both verbal and written.
Must be extremely organized, have good interpersonal skills, be cooperative and able to work with and lead cross-functional teams.
Must be authorized to work in Canada
