Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.

The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. About The Role

**Schedule**: 7/7 - 12-hour day **(Camp accommodations are not available for this role)**

**Position Reports To**: Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview

The role of the Warehouse Technician - Major Materials is responsible for the managing of all the major materials (fuel, oils, mill reagents, tires, drilling materials etc.) to support the mine operations. The Major Materials warehouse technician duties, include picking orders, inventory maintenance and keeping the major materials adequately stocked and organized. There will also be frequent interaction with other employees and departments requiring the delivery of high performance customer service with an attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Will coordinate the shipping/receiving and distribution of all major materials for inventory purchases;
Will coordinate the receiving, inventory count reconciliation and coordinate adequate inventory levels for operations;
Will coordinate with the major material vendors to ensure timely deliveries of products for operations;
Enter and manage purchase order data in the ERP (SAP) system and ensure attention to detail;
Research items in the ERP (SAP) system and assist in physical counts and audits;
Lead and/or facilitate responsibilities and projects relative to Major Material and Mill Reagent items in an accurate, timely and effective manner.
Perform the role of Acting Supervisor with competence and ensure seamless transitions take place during these times;
Assist with competence in relation to the various components of Warehousing and Logistics as needed;
Ensure safety remains paramount at all times.

**Qualifications**:
Diploma, preferably in warehouse management or supply chain related discipline;
Minimun of five (5) years' expereince in warehouse management in an industrial setting (open pit mining is preferrred);
The ability to work independently managing the receiving, inventory count reconciliation and coordinate adequate inventory levels for the operations;
The ability to coordinate with the major material vendors to insure timely deliveries of product for the operations;
The ability to coordinate with the end users to insure timely safe deliveries of product for the operations;
The ability to assist with the leading of the warehouse team towards achieving their goals in a safe and timely manner;
Intermediate computer experience using excel, and warehouse/inventory related modules in integrated warehouse management systems;
Knowledge and filing of health and safety environmental reports;
Previous experience and knowledge of ISO14001 environmental management;
Previous experience industry accepted - warehouse management;
Experience with the safe operations of material handling equipment;
Cross cultural work experience is an asset.
