Job Summary:
BD Mitchell Prosthetic & Orthotic Services Ltd., has been providing rehabilitative services to the mid and upper island communities for over 30 years.

We are currently seeking an orthotic technician to join our team. The Technician will be responsible for performing various technical tasks.

**Duties**:

- Fabrication and assembly of orthotic devices
- Laminations with acrylic and epoxy resins
- Vacuum forming of thermoplastics
- Operation of a variety of small hand tools, grinders, drill-press, and free-arm sewing machine
- Static and bench alignment of componentry
- Repairs to orthotic devices
- Shoe modifications
- Collaboration with other team members - clinicians and administration

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in using technical tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications are a plus

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, kinesiology

Applicant will have the ability to learn, gather internship hours, to sit for OPC qualified technician certificate.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
