**Broker Reconciliation Specialist**

**Job Description**:

- Completes system-generated daily invoicing functions and manually transacts any invoicing where the carrier does not have an automated system.
- Manages all agency bill policies to ensure that payment is collected and documents are issued in a timely manner, facilitating registered cancellations or issuing refunds as required.
- Reconciles company statements with our business management system.
- Maintains a comprehensive log and diary system, reviewing ncontentious issues and makes recommendations to management on a daily basis for staff coaching opportunities.
- Runs monthly reports to identify and correct inaccuracies in the broker management system (BMS) with respect to commissions and inaccurate invoicing.
- Reviews expiry reports to ensure that all policies are renewed in a timely fashion.
- Liaises with all IIS departments with respect to new projects and their effect on the BMS.
- Meets with the finance department monthly regarding aged receivables and discrepancies.
- Reviews all new business downloads and reports errors to management on a daily basis.
- Aids with projects regarding the onboarding and off boarding of business in the BMS.
- Provides quality service while adhering to customer service standards and keeps information confidential to protect operations.
- Manages all third-party financing including setting up quotes, updating contracts, and liasing with First Insurance Funding.
- Calculates and issues all tax receipts.
- Produces in-depth Statements of Account when required to clarify complicated billing-related inquiries.

**Qualifications**:

- A RIBO or AIC license.
- A minimum of three insurance courses, or a commitment to complete, including CIP Principles and Practice, Property 1, and Automobile or equivalent insurance courses.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in personal lines automobile and property insurance.
- Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Superior time management, project management and organizational skills to manage competing and changes in priorities.
- Advanced knowledge of a broker management system, specifically interface, reports, and accounts functions, is required.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and processes, and of basic broker sales and service processes.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to use analytical and decision-making skills to offer options and resolve problems in a variety of contexts.
- The ability to communicate in French will be considered an asset.
