We are looking for a Director of Engineering to drive the evolution of our RESL Platform. Your mission is to reimagine RESL domain and simplify current architecture while delivering regulatory and business initiatives

**Is this role right for you? In this role you will**:

- Lead, mentor, inspire, and grow a team of high-performance engineers and talented leaders
- Lead modernization of RESL domain.
- Develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap that is aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RESL Product team, security, and infrastructure to drive innovation and efficiency across the organization.
- Collaborate with senior management to align vision, strategy, success metrics, and roadmaps
- Foster a metrics-driven environment that encourages quality experimentation and sets high standards for measuring success.
- Foster a collaborative environment with engineers and your peers, creating continuous feedback loops to ensure we're solving the right problems and driving maximum impact for the bank.
- Exhibit robust problem-solving and decision-making skills, tackling both technical and strategic challenges in innovative ways, and leveraging both data and intuition to make strategic choices in the face of ambiguity and complexity
- Build and maintain strong relationship of trust with RESL business team.
- Oversee the engineering budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support key projects and initiatives.
- Lead and deliver RESL initiative within timelines and budget collaborating across all internal and external partners
- Create and maintain KPIs across RESL portfolio to monitor reliability, scalability, and maintainability

**Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have**:

- At least 10 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
- Proven track record of leading modernization initiatives like migration to cloud.
- Proven track record of delivering complex software in an agile manner.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of projects, balancing short-term goals with long-term vision in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage intuition and judgment to make informed decisions in scenarios where perfect information may not be available
- Insatiable curiosity, with a passion for learning new domains, keeping up with industry innovation, and constantly questioning the status quo
- Excellent communication skills with a knack for setting clear expectations
- Experience navigating and leading in a fast-paced, agile environment with rapidly shifting priorities
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, agile methodologies, and best practices
- Experience in the finance sector or a strong understanding of financial systems and regulations is highly advantageous
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
- Certification in cloud technologies like Google cloud architect or Azure Architect is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of microservices architectures
