We have a great opportunity for a driven, customer-service focused individual to join our Building Maintenance team in creating safe, clean, and productive environments for our clients and their customers.

**Qualifications and Experience Needed to Succeed in this Role**
- Previous warehouse or distribution center maintenance as well as people management experience
- Knowledge of the Ontario Fire Code, Health and Safety standards, Ontario Building Code, and Municipal Property Standards By-Laws
- Familiarity with building systems and equipment such as Building Automation Systems (BAS), fire panels, material handling equipment, HVAC, forklifts, emergency generators, sprinklers, dock levelers, warehouse doors, track restraints, and compactors
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with the above building systems and equipment
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Ease with using work order processes to address building issues
- WHMIS and Working at Heights certification is an asset
- Ability to travel within the GTA between sites; 5% or less of total time
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities using sound judgement
- Experience with initiating and managing emergency procedures such as fire, floods, and power outage
- Ability to remain calm and focused in emergencies
- 24-hour on-call emergency response coverage is required on a rotating basis
- Dependability, strong work ethic, and self-motivation
- Strong attention to detail and responsiveness to changing priorities
- Passion for a job well done and making a difference
- An approachable style with the ability to work with individuals in different roles including union employees
- Proficient English speaking and writing skills; other languages are an asset
- Ability to listen, understand and respond to issues appropriately
- Strength to lift, as part of daily tasks, items up to 50 lbs./23 kg
- Capability to perform work requiring standing, walking, crouching bending, kneeling as well as repetitive tasks
- Intermediate level computer literacy including Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Acrobat Adobe, Excel, and Word as well as familiarity with other building technology systems
- Eligibility to work in Canada with current documentation

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:
