**Opportunity**:
Are you passionate about driving strategic initiatives forward and fostering collaboration across teams? MacEwan University invites you to join the Office of the University Registrar as an IT Project Manager.

Reporting to the Assistant Registrar - Student Information Systems, the IT Project Manager manages multiple concurrent projects and process improvement initiatives to support enrollment growth and enhance the student experience. You will provide functional and project management expertise in project planning and execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Associate Registrars, Functional Analysts, and ITS Project Managers, to support all project life cycle phases and achieve objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

- In consultation with the project sponsor(s), developing project objectives and creating a project charter, ensuring alignment with departmental project management guidelines, adherence to technical requirements, and consistency with the university's strategic direction;
- Developing comprehensive project plans encompassing scope, schedule, deliverables, resource needs, communication strategies, risk registers with mitigation measures, procurement details, cost planning and budgets (if applicable), and project closure activities;
- Developing and maintaining project schedules by integrating activities, interdependencies, sequences, and durations while identifying and managing critical path milestones;
- Ensuring projects adhere to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards by implementing effective project control measures to identify and address variances through plan adjustments and preventative actions. Monitoring identified risks, executing mitigation strategies, and evaluating their effectiveness;
- Acting as the central source of project status (verbal & written) for the project team, stakeholders and sponsor(s);
- Evaluating overall quality performance regularly to ensure that quality expectations and standards of project deliverables are met;
- Confirming work is done to requirements as documented and obtaining formal acceptance from the project sponsor;
- Analyzing requests for new projects, providing in-depth assessment of operational requirements, schedules, resources, and deliverables;
- Providing consultative assistance and business case development on related projects;
- Together with project sponsors, providing leadership to ensure business process changes are implemented effectively and efficiently and
- Remaining current and informed on project management trends, tools, and best practices and contributing to the ongoing development and refinement project management processes.

**SKILLS**:
