**Job Description**:

**JOB SUMMARY**: This position is an opportunity to provide integral support within the Financial Services department in areas of financial analysis, liaise with stakeholder institutions for all research and other grants.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible of all research and other grants (set-up budgets and follow actuals as per agreement).
- Prepare salary releases expense transfers to grant budget and follow-up with payroll.
- Prepare financial reports to granting institutions.
- Liaison with grant holders about financial management reports on their projects.
- Analyze various accounts.
- Prepare adjusting journal entries quarterly and year-end.
- Verifies Accounts payable OPS batches.
- Verifies Weekly report on modification of supplier banking information.
- Support departments regarding Finance related question.
- Assist accounting manager to create and modify pedagogical fee codes related to accounts receivable.
- Provide assistance at year-end for various analysis, reconciliations and other documentation required by the external auditors.
- Provide assistance on various projects to improve process in Finance.
- Other related tasks.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**

DEC degree in Accounting or a certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.

**Specific Requirements**:

- Experience in accounting is an asset
- Proven skills in accounting and finance
- Intermediate French and English - oral, written and written comprehension
- Excel intermediate
- Knowledge of accounting software (CLARA system would be an asset)
- Superior inter-personal skills and discretion
- Results oriented self-starter able to work autonomously
- Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate information and identify solutions
- Experience within the para-public sector is an asset

**Testing may be required to demonstrate knowledge of**:

- Excel (intermediate)
- French (intermediate oral, written & written comprehension)
- English (intermediate oral, written & written comprehension)
