**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Crew Chief (CC) reports to the Base Lead or Production Manager and is a working member of the team, working in the category in which he is employed. The CC has the ability to satisfactorily direct and supervise the work of others and is responsible and accountable for the performance of his assigned crew. The CC will be responsible to perform an annual assessment of his assigned crew. The CC will coordinate the assignment of personnel to maximize production flow. The CC is expected to sign or coordinate the signing of the Maintenance Releases for non-licensed personnel.

Within the assigned area of responsibility, or zone, duties will also include but are not limited to:

- Planning, coordinating, and executing the daily work.
- Assisting in the development of, and being accountable to, the production plan;
- Resolving material, tooling, and engineering issues affecting the plan;
- Estimating and define the planned repair;
- Assigning and directing the work of maintenance personnel within their category. May provide direction to other categories assigned to him who are working directly within his area of responsibility;
- Providing practical on-site training and coaching to maintenance personnel;
- Ensuring airworthiness and safety policies, processes and standards are adhered to;
- Ensuring work safety standards are complied with;
- Ensuring aircraft and related maintenance records are complete;
- Exercising “ownership” of their area of responsibility’
- Ensuring adequate hand-off information is provided to personnel in Maintenance Control (Line) and to those on the next shift (Line and Heavy Maintenance); and
- Ensuring a safe and tidy workplace.

**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements**:

- Minimum three (3) years of experience with flight and maintenance operations;
- Leadership skills and the ability to lead a team in a diversified and changing high tempo environment;
- Positive, professional attitude, identify and resolve issues proactively with mínimal supervision;
- Hold a valid Transport Canada M2 license, an asset;
- Strong knowledge of AMS, an asset;
- Proven track record to support and lead safe operations: OHS, Flight Safety, procedures, Human Factors etc.
- Good customer service skills;
- Good time management and organizational skills;
- Strong communicator who disseminates and obtains information with discretion professionalism and diplomacy;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands;
- Positive, professional attitude and the ability to take initiative and be a self-starter;
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Excellence, Service, IntegrityTogether.

**Special Working Conditions**
- Travel is required for the position
- International travel may also be required in this role
- The ability to work flexible work schedules according to flight operations

**Supervisory, Training and Advisory Responsibilities**:
***Supervising, approving timesheets, and vacation requests for:

- Aircraft Maintenance Technicians
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

You will have the following responsibilities in order to comply with the company's Occupational Health and Safety program:
Leads are responsible for:

- Providing information, training, instruction and supervision to protect the Occupational Health and Safety of Employees
- Ensuring Employees under their direction know and comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Ensuring Employees under their direction receive adequate supervision

**Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR**:
Position requires II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
