Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team at Studio City
"Studio City" is dedicated to servicing the Lower Mainland's Film indsutry. They rent truss, racking, scaffolding, and rigging infrastructure to productions across the region. This position will manage the front-of-house activities of the location and report to a Branch Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the customer service team. You will look after taking orders, arranging delivery, ordering parts, writing rental contracts, and working with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Education or experience that prepares you for success:
- At least 1 year of Rental Industry or Film industry experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record history
- Experience leading a team
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Understanding of P&L and other key financial controls
- Experience in outside sales or other experience in negotiation and influencing
- Experience in construction or industrial markets helpful
- High level of accountability, time management and willingness to learn all aspects of the business
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
