Context:
Diageo Canada’s ambition is to build the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer company in Canada We are a total beverage alcohol company operating within the spirits, beer and RTD categories. The Regional Customer Development Manager (RCDM) will lead trade marketing plans in the province of Ontario, more specifically with the LCBO, one of the world’s largest purchasers of Beverage Alcohol Products. This is a very demanding and fast paced role

Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Ontario Performance Management Director (PMD), this person will lead the development of regional retail trade marketing plans which deliver upon both brand strategies as well as customers goals to support the achievement of regional objectives for the spirits portfolio.

In partnership with key finance partners, PMD and KAM, they will also lead their regional retail budget and ensure they do not overspend. They will build and maintain relationships across internal and external partners, working closely with the Customer Marketing team, Ontario Sales Team as well as the LCBO Marketing teams. The RCDM will ensure the Trade Development Manager at the Sales broker is fully advised of all upcoming regional and brand programming commitments.

Top Accountabilities:

- Translate consumer brand strategies & customer marketing plans at the regional level into retail (and on premise) programming ideas
- Develop and maintain a retail activity calendar which is on strategy
- Own the regional retail budgets
- Optimize the efficiency of activities and spend
- Conduct program measurement and evaluation of activities and recommend changes if necessary
- Regionalization of sales tools
- Lead sampling budget and execution

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Crucial:

- Speaks fluent English
- 3 - 5 years of Trade Marketing experience required within a fast paced CPG environment.
- Post-Secondary Education
- ESSENTIAL: Strong MS Office knowledge including advanced Excel
- ESSENTIAL: Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent influencing skill
- ESSENTIAL: Must have excellent analytical, organizational, presentation and communication skills

- LCBO experience
