The Community Resilience Project Manager will support and coordinate the work of the Resilience Coalition of Guelph through project planning, training, implementation, and monitoring.
The Community Resilience Project Manager is responsible for:
- Developing and implementing community strategies and workplans
- Conducting local community research and program evaluations, including gathering and analyzing data, developing surveys, and reporting findings
- Planning and coordinating special events and training opportunities
- Developing and strengthening community stakeholder relationships
- Maintaining comprehensive project plans, documentation, and reports
- Creating and facilitating in-person and online training and resources
- Assisting with program assessment and quality improvement processes
- Other tasks, as required
The Project Manager will also focus on outreach and relationship building with social and health service providers and organizations, working within a framework that focuses on an understanding of the social determinants of health and an emphasis on limiting the negative impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Interest in ACEs, trauma-informed care, and community resiliency
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in relevant field
- Experience in program planning, development and implementation
- Experience conducting research, including primary and secondary
- knowledge of local community agencies, resources, and organizations
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent project management skills
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Proven cultural competence and commitment to health equity, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- An understanding and commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of the Guelph CHC
This position is primarily home-office based but the incumbent will be required to attend in person meetings within the Guelph-Wellington area.
