**Position Summary**

Responsible for supervising the Practice Advisor team which includes monitoring territory management plans, setting and reviewing performance expectations, assigning work, managing team dynamics, and identifying learning opportunities. Representing the Practice Advisor team at various internal and external stakeholder meetings, seminars and events as required and requested. Coordinating Quality Assurance related activities with the Program Associate and Quality Assurance Lead to ensure all relevant material has been complied.

Managing a territory including conducting practice assessments and interacting with registrants.

**What you’ll do at OCP**
- Manage and supervise Practice Advisors and Post Remediation Advisors including hiring, reviewing work plans, setting performance objectives, monitoring performance, providing performance feedback, and assigning and reviewing work.
- Identify learning needs of Advisors and develop training and education opportunities regarding legislation, pharmacy practice standards, best practices, or guidelines as well as assessment consistency, messaging and approach.
- Conduct one on one calls with individual Advisors on a regular basis and lead monthly teleconference calls and quarterly in person staff meetings. Continually identify, assess, develop and prioritize ideas/concepts/exercises for collaborative teleconference calls and staff meetings. Prepare agendas and finalize minutes.
- Review and approve various requests including expenses, vacation, sick, personal, and lieu time while ensuring compliance with OCP policy.
- Assess territory management plans of Advisors: Review, support and report on territory status with respect to priority scheduling.
- Manage own territory and perform practice assessments one day per week.
- Perform consistency tours with Practice and Post Remediation Advisors on a routine basis, outside of normal OCP assessment visits.
- Represent the Practice Advisor team at various internal and external stakeholder platforms.
- Coordinate Quality Assurance Committee activities including support and scheduling of practice assessments and report writing, ensuring case compilation, interacting with internal departments and liaising with manager for final case review when appropriate.
- Continuously examine practice site visit processes and makes recommendations on cost containment and/or efficiency improvements and overall effectiveness of the visit.
- Continually examine work processes and explore opportunities for improving efficiencies through technology (including remote assessments, as appropriate), inter-department communication or collaboration, or altering of work processes and make recommendations to Manager, Assessments.
- Work within records management principles and guidelines for record keeping and support the Practice Advisors as needed to ensure compliance with OCP policy.
- Regularly visits organizations and other operations throughout Ontario with occasional overnight trips.
- Collaborate with other departments, including but not limited to Quality Assurance and MAR to identify opportunities to streamline workflow, improve efficiency, and facilitate communication to meet overall organizational needs.
- To support OCP’s ultimate goal of providing excellent service to current and potential stakeholders, the incumbent must be constantly attentive and responsive to both external and internal stakeholders’ needs and assist in the resolution of any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner while ensuring that the solution meets the customer’s needs.
- Other reasonable duties and projects as assigned by Manager, Assessments.

**What we’re looking for**
- Proven ability to build, maintain and support team cohesiveness to ensure overall needs of the department are being met.
- Knowledge of legislation, College policies, guidelines as well as standards of practice
- Proven ability to provide guidance and direction to staff, assess training needs and address performance issues.
- Experience delivering presentations and/or workshops to a variety of audiences.
- Judgment and discretion; ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive material.
- Self-motivation and solid organizational skills to efficiently and effectively manage workload, deal effectively with multiple demands and maintain composure while progressing toward desired outcomes.

**What experience we prefer**
- Active Part A Pharmacist license in Ontario
- Member and in good standing with OCP
- Must have 2 years of progressive professional experience in Pharmacy environments[KR1]
- Minimum 5 years practice experience.
