**Human Resources Manager**
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, The Human Resources Manager ensures that the member experience at the Royal Glenora Club consistently embodies our Vision:
The RGC is _**the **_family-oriented athletic and social club that people want to be a part of _**for life**_.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for fostering relationships with all staff members, including providing timely and proactive advice and support to Managers and Supervisors. Through strategic development and effective operation of all HR programs, the Manager will work to create an environment that supports all staff in effectively reaching their performance goals, placing the Royal Glenora Club at the highest standard of a private member club.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- **Employee Relations**:
- Provide employee relations support in the areas of performance management, progressive discipline, employment legislation, policies, procedures, and industry best practices
- Work with other team members to implement meaningful employee recognition, reward and communication initiatives to support employee engagement
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records
- **Recruitment and Workforce Planning**:
- Work with Directors and Finance to ensure appropriate workforce planning to support the business
- Proactively deliver recruiting success, ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.
- Manage and coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities.
- Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place
- Manage all Job Postings
- Assist in interview process
- Coordinate all pre-employment testing
- Ensure reference checks are complete
- Call back of applicants not hired
- Track recruitment metrics
- **On Boarding**:
- Coordinate the initial Club Onboarding for all new hires.
- **Benefits**:
- Administer all benefits programs, including the proactive management of disability claims (STD, LTD, and WCB).
- Includes new hires, changes and terminations
- Coordinating payment of benefits for staff while on leaves
- **Retention Strategies**:
- Provide guidance and information to supervisor with respect to retaining the top performing employees and ensure that turnover is maintained at industry minimums.
- Conduct exit interviews and monitor trends.
- **Administration**:
- Maintain employee files and database.
- Provide employment verification letters to employees.
- Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending Human Resources policies and procedures
- Oversee and support annual performance review program, ensuring reviews are completed in a timely manner
- Analyse and forward various HR reports on monthly basis, or as needed, to managers and supervisors
- Examples include but not limited to, vacation accruals, sick time and turnover data
- Establish long-range objectives and specific strategies and actions to achieve them, including establishing and maintaining the HR budget
- Prepare, administer and analyze employee engagement surveys
- **Other**:
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of Human Resources initiatives
- Participate in various RGC committees as required
- Work closely with Health and Safety to ensure compliance and training is completed
- Participate in the coordination of RGC sponsored employee social events
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resources supplemented by 5 or more years of experience in a human resources generalist role, preferably in a club or hospitality environment
- CPHR Designation
- A record demonstrating strong customer service orientation
- Experience in a diverse and ever-changing environment involving many demographics
- Understanding of club, food & beverage environments with high levels of customer service
- Solid business acumen related to budgets, information systems, sensitivity to revenue/costs in a membership-driven culture
- Well organized, strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal & decision-making skills
- Strong people manager with maturity and confidence to provide leadership in complex situations
- Proficient knowledge of government regulations
