What You’ll Do:
As a Construction Manager, you will act as the site representative/manager for the Oneida Project during construction. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the activities on the site, which include monitoring the contractor’s safety program, ensuring quality expectations are obtained, overseeing environmental compliance, reviewing progress against the project schedule, monitoring project costs and managing the daily, weekly and monthly meetings.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage project construction activities through daily interaction with the Contractor as they relate to safety, the environment, quality, scheduling, and cost.
- Ensure the health and safety of all Northland employees, contractors, and visitors in compliance with the Prime Contractor’s safety program. This shall include routine job walks and conducting a weekly safety review with the contractor including a log of action items to be followed up on.
- Coordinate quality surveillance of Contractor activities by inspection, record review, monitoring, and testing for compliance with contractual specifications and procedures as well as applicable codes and standards.
- Supervise Northland’s site personnel and contractors.
- Conduct and facilitate site meetings including, but not limited to, weekly staff meetings, weekly Contractor meetings, and monthly progress review meetings.
- Maintain effective communication with management and the project team to ensure timely, concise reporting of safety, schedule, environmental, critical issues, quality control, and cost.
- Review contractors’ monthly reports and schedule updates.
- Work with contractors to develop commissioning and start-up test procedures and quality assurance checks following new equipment installation to ensure the equipment and systems are correctly functioning when placed in service.
- Other tasks as requested by the Project Manager or Northland senior management.

Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 10 (ten) years of experience working in the field on large-scale construction projects with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contractors, with at least 5 (five) years of experience as a construction manager.
- Experience in the installation of battery energy storage facilities or other large-scale renewable energy projects is preferred.
