We’ve said GAME ON, and we mean it - OLG is rapidly transforming its organization to better serve Ontarians by delivering great gaming experiences through our digital, retail lottery, and land-based gaming channels. Over the course of fiscal 2022-23, OLG delivered a record $2.5 billion in net profit to the Province of Ontario. OLG is now expanding our horizons even further, with a new strategic direction, to become a world class gaming entertainment leader with a globally admired digital platform.
We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Director, Digital Analytics to play an important leadership role in the Enterprise Analytics department at OLG. This position will lead development of OLG’s capabilities in digital analytics, business intelligence reporting and predictive modeling while supporting the execution of key enterprise strategies.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Analytics, you will be empowered to:
- Lead the Digital Analytics function at OLG by providing strategic guidance and execution on data, marketing, customer, and operational analytics across all digital platforms including web, mobile and app platforms and digital casino, lottery, and sports betting products.- Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of Digital Analytics resources (4 direct, 6 indirect).- Create, execute, and evolve a strategic plan for Digital Analytics to support the launch and enhancements of online platforms and digital channels as part of OLG’s enterprise strategy.- Collaborate with senior level stakeholders (VP/Director) within the Gaming Division to ensure alignment on analytical requirements for new digital platform builds (digital sports app, etc.).- Lead and support the development and deployment of predictive models into production, including understanding business requirements, translating functionality, and driving progress on integration.- Manage collaboration efforts between Digital Analytics team and Marketing/Acquisition/Retention/Customer Experience teams to ensure analytical insights are being transformed into actionable outputs.- Develop and manage senior-level partnerships with external vendors (Adobe, Google, Bede, Mediacom, AdTech/MarTech Firms, etc.).- Act as a senior-level translator for explaining the unique analytical models associated with Digital Analytics such as churn modelling, lifetime value modelling, recommendation engines, attribution modelling, and tag management strategies.- Support enterprise strategies to increase OLG’s 360 customer view by bridging online with offline analytics and insights.- Ensure enterprise alignment on digital analytics tools and platforms to reduce costs, increase efficiencies and drive collaborative value creation.- Work with other senior team leads within Enterprise Analytics to support overall departmental leadership and strategy development.- Recruit, train, and seek to constantly evolve Digital Analytics resources with the right skillsets to keep pace in a fast-changing industry.
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
- Work Experience:_
- 7-10 years demonstrated work experience including but not limited to digital analytics, e-commerce, digital media, business intelligence reporting, financial analysis, data mining, predictive analytics, and market research or related experience.
- 3-5 years in a supervisory role within an analytics team.
- Experience building, updating, and explaining business intelligence reports, dashboards, and analytical insights.
- Experience wrangling, cleansing, and automating disparate data sources to power analytical outputs.
- Experience building and maintaining customer models, such as churn, high value player predictions, next best offer, recommendation engines, and segmentation.
- Education: _University degree or equivalent; ideally in business/commerce, analytics, finance, mathematics, digital marketing, or computer science. Strong knowledge of key languages and platforms such as: Google Analytics, Adobe, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Python, Excel, Google Tag Management Tools.
