Novipro is looking for a **Storage Administrator**. This is a **12 month** renewable mandate for one of our well-known clients in the **banking** industry. This mandate is in **hybrid mode**, a minimum of 2 days in the office in downtown Montreal. Are you interested?

**Missions**

**Day-to-Day Responsibilities**:
Within the growing Storage and backup administration team, you will onboard a Level 3 support team composed of 5 engineers.

As part of an agile organized team, you will be responsible for supporting, designing, and improving the Storage and backup infrastructures and tools. You will also be responsible for the follow up and the implementation of the security remediations.

**You will**:

- Be responsible for storage administration and engineering in a large 24x7 environment
- Closely communicate with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs
- Propose innovative and industrial solutions to automatize your repetitive tasks and improve team's efficiency
- Ensure procedures are followed and mechanisms are in place to ensure compliance to technical designs, best practices, and are well supported
- Participate in the Follow the Sun support by providing support for Europe and Asia
- Manage the activity based on ITIL Framework (Change management, Incident/Request management)
- Onboard the teams' routine and participate in overtime operations at least once a Month
- Contribute to market-watch initiatives and recommend solutions to improve the environment
- Develop documentation and procedures

**Profile**

**Technical Skills**:
**Excellent technical skills on the following technologies**:

- Block storage / SAN (VMAX, VNX, Brocade, Pure)
- NAS (Netapp)
- Object storage (S3)
- Backup technology (Netbackup, Networker)

**Proficient in**:

- Server OSs (Linux, Windows)
- Configuration management (Ansible, Salt)
- Cloud technology

**Desired / Plus**:

- Devops (OpenStack/CEPH/Cinder)
- Development (Python/Git)
- Bilingualisme (French & English)

**Competencies**:

- Client focused, must have a strong customer service mentality and ability to work with developers, users, and other staff
- Collaborate, and bring in your creativity to deliver projects that will require interacting across different groups
- Efficient on High Availability environments and DR scenario design, implementation, and testing
- Committed to deliver audit response and remediation. Have a Security focused mindset to participate in our environment hardening effort
