About the Organization
Prince Rupert Grain Ltd. opened in 1985 and built a terminal to improve Canada's ability to export grain and oilseeds. We now offer the best route for Canadian grain bound for Asian and mid-east markets. With an annual export capacity of over 6.25 million tonnes, we offer the highest throughput of any grain-cleaning elevator in Canada.
Our state-of-the-art terminal cleans grain as fast as it can be unloaded from rail cars, in excess of 13 cars per hour. With eight shipping bins and three tower-mounted loading spouts, we are able to load up to 4,000 tonnes of wheat or barley per hour.

About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC.
While no two days will be alike in this pivotal role, your general responsibilities will consist of:
Coordinating planning and scheduling of routine and preventative maintenance functions by tradespersons
Ensuring completion of various maintenance reports for terminal facilities including machinery status, condition/repair, damage/evaluation, accident, attendance, time sheets, job completion, and materials handling
Ensuring adherence to legislated and Company standards for safety, control, and housekeeping
Coordinating ordering of relevant materials and supplies to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair projects
Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with established Company standards, policies, legislative requirements, and collective agreement provisions, through regular safety crew meetings, general discussion, and individual communications
Participating in the hiring and selection of new employees
Receiving and handling employee grievances in accordance with established Company policies with the assistance of the Maintenance Superintendent
Evaluating technical data from trend analysis specialists. ie: infrared scanning, Doble testing, transformer oil analysis, and taking remedial action where necessary
Ensuring compliance with all the codes and regulations pertaining to the electrical supply and distribution system
More About You
In order to qualify for this position, you must be a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician (with TQ and IP tickets), with at least 3-5 years of related industrial and supervisory experience. Experience with ControlLogix is required, and experience with other Allen-Bradley PLCs is preferred, but not required. An Electrical Contractor certificate would be a strong asset.
Please note that occasional weekend work is required. You will also be required to complete pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol testing, and possessing a valid Driver's License is a must.
