**DESCRIPTION**

The Field Relations Coordinator is a hybrid role that will be responsible to support, advise, and assist Broccolini with building meaningful relationships through their understanding of the Indigenous culture, history, and protocols, as well as the issues faced by the Indigenous community. This individual will also support the onsite Superintendent with various construction related tasks.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Champion Indigenous relations internally, by promoting diversity, inclusion, company values, corporate responsibility, and cultural awareness.
- Maintain internal/external relationships through open dialogue, networking opportunities, and attendance at Indigenous community functions.
- Enhance existing Indigenous partnerships and projects while supporting the advancement of opportunities for business growth.
- Arrange, coordinate, and lead in project site visits, facilitating the collection of input and feedback from Indigenous communities.
- Collaboratively seek out information to ensure sound advice on critical issues.
- Liaise between Indigenous communities and external clients to balance expectations of Indigenous partners with Broccolini’s contractual commitments.
- Coordinate and prepare reports for Broccolini and their various partners.
- Lead and support continuous consultation with all applicable Indigenous communities
- Support the Site Superintendent with day-to-day tasks such as preparing site communications/documentation, files for purchaser agreements, construction log, participating in meetings, recording, and distributing meeting minutes.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Education & Experience Required
- Post-secondary diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Environment, Anthropology or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the construction field.
- Working at Heights, H&S Worker's Awareness in 4 Steps & WHMIS certification is considered an asset.
- Understanding of the contemporary diversity of Indigenous peoples across Canada including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities.
- Knowledge & awareness of Indigenous history, culture, treaties, and relevant issues including the intersect of the Crown's legal duty to consult, the Indigenous and Treaty rights, and inter-governmental relations with natural resource management.
- Understanding of other various human rights safeguards and protection frameworks for Indigenous communities.
- Knowledge of the policies, federal & provincial regulatory processes, guidelines & trends, and issues affecting Indigenous peoples of Ontario. General familiarity with contract interpretation.
- Advanced skills in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
