**Position Overview**: EPTCON’s Technical Services Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Integration Specialist to join our dynamic team. This intermediate-level role focuses on developing, testing, and commissioning industrial control systems, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming. You will play a critical role in integrating complex automation solutions for renewable energy and high-voltage electrical systems while ensuring project success and client satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**:1. System Development and Integration**:

- Design, develop, and test PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs on platforms such as Schneider and SEL RTAC.
- Program and configure HMI/SCADA systems, including Ignition, Wonderware, and Kepware/Topserver.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including control logic diagrams, test procedures, and user manuals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret and implement design specifications and project requirements.

**2. On-Site Commissioning and Support**:

- Perform on-site commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting of integrated systems.
- Ensure smooth handover of commissioned systems by providing training and support to clients.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve issues during the project lifecycle.

**3. Project Execution and Quality Control**:

- Take ownership of project deliverables, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
- Ensure timely task completion and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

**4. Client and Team Collaboration**:

- Maintain positive client relationships through clear communication and responsive service.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Provide technical insights and assist with knowledge sharing across the team.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: Two-year technical degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience: 4-7 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Control Systems, SCADA integration, or related fields.
- Industry Knowledge: Exposure to renewable energy (Wind, PV, BESS) is a plus.
- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in PLC/HMI/SCADA programming (Schneider, SEL RTAC, Ignition, Wonderware, Kepware).
- Strong understanding of communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus) and network architectures.
- Ability to read and create engineering design documents, including communication diagrams and network schematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SQL, Access).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel within Ontario as needed.
- Other: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and possess a valid Class G Driver’s License.
