Building Maintenance Technician

An award-winning manufacturing company in the food production industry is looking for a _**Facilities Technician**_ to join their team This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that is real, thoughtful, and forward thinking.
**The Role**
As a Facilities Technician, you are responsible for contributing to the company’s operational performance through facilities maintenance across all sites including reactive and preventative maintenance for technical and non-technical components.
**You Will**
- Perform regular facility technical and non-technical component monitoring, inspection, and repairs including preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Ensure work completed meets quality, contract response, and all other requirements.
- Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program. Ensure that deficiencies are identified, recorded, and escalated, and that related documents are maintained.
- Ensure facilities are always kept to CFIA and BRC standards. Participate in preparation for audits and inspections.
- Follow schedule and prioritize facility-related work orders for all facilities including reactive issues and preventative maintenance tasks (ex. facility, utilities, and services by contractors on site)
- Act as primary on-site contact for contractors/vendors while on company premises.
- Ensure that maintenance/service contractors perform services as required while following GMP and food building compliance.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects as required.
- Assist in enhancing customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through a positive and enthusiastic work ethic
**You Have**
- 3+ years’ experience in facility maintenance _(food manufacturing facility maintenance experience is _**a plus**_)_
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems (i.e. HVAC, compressed air, chillers, boilers)
- Working and operating knowledge of Building Automation Systems
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel)

**Salary**: $33.00-$38.00 per hour
