Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is dedicated to providing Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of home-based and community-setting services.

We are hiring a **Client Service Director, Nursing** to lead our client operations across our GTA Nursing Clinics and Halifax Personal Support Services. This** Client Service Director, Nursing** will provide thought leadership to all nursing activities throughout Closing the Gap.

Reporting to the Vice President of Client Services, the **Client Service Director, Nursing**will provide key leadership, guidance, and planning for the development of their assigned geographic area, represent Closing the Gap to our external stakeholder partners, and develop local Client Service Managers and Supervisors.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of the GTA in a hybrid environment of home, branch clinics, and in-office supporting our GTA and Nova Scotia locations.

**What you’ll be doing**:
Operational Leadership
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to assigned geographic areas to meet CTG’s goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other members of the Senior Governance Team to support operational service delivery, and establish plans to improve the quality of service to our clients.
- Represent Closing the Gap and develop effective relationships on behalf of the company with leaders across various Health Authorities in different provinces and local Home and Community Care Support Services (HCCSS) Leaders
- Develops growth opportunities for the company by identifying industry and market trends in the home and community sectors.

Nursing Thought Leadership
- Represent Closing the Gap Nurses with external stakeholders by promoting CTG’s vision of nursing practice and best-in-class ethical client care in industry forums.
- Lead the nursing research agenda to create and promote advance quality client care service based on evidence-based nursing practices for all nurses within CTG.
- Evaluate and assess nursing practice and client care within the organization to determine areas of improvement.
- Champion the continued professional learning and development of nurses across the organization.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert of Infection Prevention and Control

People Leadership
- Coach, develop and inspire branch leaders and team members, promoting a positive work culture.
- Support, coach, and mentor others to succeed with change. Establish tools and processes for communicating and collaborating with direct care nurses.
- Be a Hands-on and visible leader in the GTA Clinics and provide Clinical Expertise across the GTA Clinics when needed.
- Demonstrate commitment to support organizational goals through collaborating at all levels of the organization.

**Skills needed for success**:

- Minimum of 5 years in progressive leadership positions in healthcare, or home and community environments
- Minimum of 3 years of operational experience, managing expenses in relation to revenue; analyze the ongoing financial status of the Branch to ensure that established financial goals are being achieved; complete monthly and annual financial reports as requested.
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or College of Nurses of Nova Scotia is in good standing.
- Completion of a Master’s degree in Business or a health-related discipline an asset. Solid knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of business development, operations, service delivery, financial management and control, program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Experience in operational planning, development, and evaluation with the ability to identify long-term strategies and goals.
- Knowledge of quality and risk management practices (clinical and non-clinical) with a demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement, including Infection Prevention And Control (IPAC) standards.
