**The Opportunity**

The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Economic Development department as a Business Licence Representative. ?

Reporting to Manager, Business Retention & Expansion, this position will be responsible for accurately maintaining a comprehensive record of all businesses operating within the City of St. Albert. This role is often the first contact a new business has with the City; therefore, excellent customer service skills are required.

The key responsibilities will include:

- helps make decisions within set guidelines, ensuring compliance with civil bylaws and provincial regulations and provides administrative supports to the Business Intelligence & License Specialist
- assist with special projects like City-hosted business events, business surveys and other business support initiatives.

**Qualifications**
- 1-Year Certificate from a Post-secondary institution in Business Administration or related field including two (2) of related experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Tempest Software is an asset
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Database maintenance and collection experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Hours of Work**

We offer a compressed work schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly, Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO).

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

**Compensation**

$55,244 - $65,985 per annum. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a generous and comprehensive benefit package.
