**Centennial Infant and Child Centre (CICC)** preschool serves children ages 18 months - 4 years and their families. Children with a wide range of abilities, needs, diagnoses, and backgrounds grow and learn at our integrated therapeutic preschool under the guidance of a team of experienced special educators and consulting therapists. The Centre also operates an Early Intervention Program supporting 400 infants and children in home, a childcare consulting program, and the Path Forward program, through which adults with developmental disabilities are employed at the preschool.

CICC was established in 1979 and is incorporated as a not-for-profit organization and a registered charity.

The Assistant Manager, Preschool Programs has responsibility for planning, leading, organizing and directing the operational and strategic aspects of CICC Preschool and works in collaboration with the Managing Supervisor, Preschool Programs.

**Key Tasks**:
The Assistant Manager, Preschool Programs will function independently to oversee financial operations and maintain policies and practises as required by provincial and municipal bodies. The Assistant Manager will also support the Managing Supervisor, Preschool Programs, and step in as Acting Managing Supervisor as needed.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Finance and Operations Compliance**:

- Develop and manage CICC Preschool and Every Child Belongs budgets and funding requests for the City of Toronto.
- Track and create reports for expenditures.
- Collect, report and analyze tuition income.
- Manage the budget side of grant implementation.
- Analyze areas for cost effectiveness, implement processes when required.
- Continuously explore opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiencies, and digitization.
- Develop and execute various forms of internal and external communications with governing bodies as they relate to the Preschool Program.
- Ensure all policies and practices comply with provincial and municipal standards, including but not limited to the Ministry of Education Child Care and Early Years Act, the City of Toronto Assessment for Quality Improvement, Toronto Public Health, and other governing bodies in collaboration with the Managing Supervisor.
- Explore potential funding opportunities for the preschool program.
- Ensure the Parent Handbook is current, updated annually and compliant based on CCEYA (2014).
- Ensure all information on CICC’s website and all promotional material is updated and current.

**Strategic Planning**:

- Contribute to sound decision making for CICC in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with the ED, the Board of Directors, and other managers to operationalize the Strategic Plan, moving CICC into the future

**Requirements**:

- Strong inter-professional practice and experience in family-centered service delivery
- Registered Early Childhood Educator in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (or equivalent credential).
- Demonstrated commitment to children with developmental disabilities/extra-support needs, and their families.
- Minimum three years of experience supervising a childcare centre, preferably a not-for-profit with a City of Toronto Services Agreement.
- Minimum three years of experience managing a diverse team and championing change.
- Proven oral, written, and receptive communication skills as well as organizational and financial skills.
- Must commit to CICC’s COVID prevention policies and protocols.

Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: $31.00-$33.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
