**Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. Our **Co-op/Intern Programming **is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. The Business Management & Governance (BMG) team supports Canadian Personal Banking (CPB) across departments by providing appropriate Business Governance & Control (1B) functions and aligning to the Enterprise Risk Framework (ERF) which employs a 'three lines of defense' model to risk management that emphasizes and balances strong independent oversight with clear ownership for risk across the Bank. The BMG team, as part of the 1B function, is responsible for enabling the Business to identify and understand the risks it faces and support the Business to manage its risks appropriately in alignment with the Bank's strategy and risk appetite.

Data Governance (i.e., Data Stewardship) is part of the First Line of Defence providing oversight and support to Lines of Business (LOB) ensuring processes and controls are in place to manage data effectively and in alignment to the Bank's data policies, standards, and strategy. The Data Governance intern/co-op position s upports Data Stewards in the implementation of data governance initiatives / activities for a business or function.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Currently enrolled in an **undergraduate degree **in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field.
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**CUSTOMER**
- Manage and triage incoming inquiries and requests as well as user access and attestations;
- Conduct meaningful research and analysis on data issues, draw conclusions based on the results, and make recommendations on appropriate action(s);
- Support LoBs with remediation activities, track and monitor the implementation of changes.
- Develop and prepare applicable business performance metrics and reporting in collaboration with partners and stakeholders to help maturing data governance and management function;
- Support the development and delivery of presentations/communications to management and/or broader audience (data community);
- Support the development of training materials and delivery of training sessions and workshops as needed;
- Coordinate meetings, touch points with businesses and partners as needed;
- Review processes and controls and "connect the dots" across issues and control deficiencies in order to increase standardization of solutions, processes, and controls;
- Support the socialization and training of the LOB data governance and data management community on data policies, procedures, tools, and templates.

**SHAREHOLDER**
- Support the Data Stewards in data governance activities and ensure adherence to the Enterprise Data Policy and Standards;
- Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures and keep abreast of emerging trends;
- Identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk activities as necessary;
- Identify opportunities to efficiency gains and implement process improvements within the team and/or with partners/stakeholders,
- Find ways to strengthen engagement and interaction models with key partners to improve effectiveness.
