**Safety Coordinator/Admin**

The Health & Safety Coordinator develops, administers, and implements occupational safety programs. This individual is responsible for the analysis of health and safety reports determining trends and making recommendations to the Management Team on preventative or corrective measures taking into account fiscal concerns and legislative requirements. The Health & Safety Coordinator will be required to align health and safety issues with companywide long
- and short-term strategic planning.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and manage all of the day-to-day administration of Muth’s health and safety program including the health and safety manual, safe job procedures and safe work practices.
- Determine health and safety goals and strategies for the company ensuring that they meet all fiscal, strategic and legislative requirements.
- Develop and review policies and procedures ensuring that all health and safety measures are being taken.
- Ensure that all governmental legislation is being followed at all times on all projects.
- Ensure all safety related items are kept current and are compliant with all applicable OH&S Acts and Regulations
- Ensure all employees and subcontractors have reviewed and are following Muth’s health and safety program
- Reporting to WCB and OH&S
- Conduct regular reviews and updates on all third-party safety tracking systems
- Maintain regular safety metrics including: safety training records, incident records and others as developed
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure Muth’s health and safety program is followed and consistent across the organization
- Manage all safety investigations and submit recommendations for approval; ensure all approved recommendations are adopted and implemented throughout the organization
- Ensure that there is an adequate supply of all safety related material on hand at all times
- Other duties as required

**Our Safety Coordinator/Admin will have the following qualifications**:

- A Minimum of two years of experience required preferably with experience in residential or commercial construction or a safety-based role will be considered an asset
- Previous Electrical experience and/or administrative experience would be considered an asset
- Proven ability to maintain and manage documentation, reports and filing is required
- Proven ability to build and foster positive relationships with all levels of an organization
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Workers Compensation Act, Occupations Health and Safety Act, Regulation and Code and all other applicable legislative requirements
- Highly organized, detail oriented adaptable team player
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team environment
- Proficient with MS office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle is required
- NCSO or related certification preferred with work experience in the construction industry will be consider an asset

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
