Thomas Skinner was founded in 1904 and today is Western Canada’s largest machine shop supply distributor. Our motto is “One Stop for Your Machine Shop.” We fulfill this statement through our marketing of Haas and Okuma CNC machine tools, Amada band saw machines, a host of conventional machines, machine accessories, cutting tools, precision measuring instruments and abrasives to name a few of the products we sell. We have four locations - Richmond, BC (head-office), Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg. We support what we sell with in-house service, parts and training. We are ISO certified and employ a team of 80 employees that work hard to satisfy our customers.

We are looking for a Service Coordinator with excellent customer service, attention to detail and a positive attitude to work out of our Edmonton office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Schedule Service Technicians to meet customer requirements
- Monitor schedule for maintenance/repairs
- Communicate regularly with the Area Service Manager and Service Technician to assist and manage the schedule in an effective and efficient manner
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding the status of service jobs
- Take customer phone calls and input into system for processing
- Handle various administrative duties

This is a challenging position that will require the following strengths to be successful:

- You have strong administrative skills. You are comfortable switching between various computer programs.
- You have excellent organizational skills. You are able to organize your work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- You excel at verbal communication and are able to quickly establish trust. When you hang up with a customer they are confident that what you told them will happen - then you make sure it does
- Your conflict resolution skills come in handy from time to time and you do not get rattled when you have to deliver bad news to a customer.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
