Medcan will be opening a third clinic location in Collingwood in Fall 2023 and is seeking a Site Manager to lead the site’s operations. The role will report to the Chief Operations & Transformation Officer, and work closely with a small team of direct reports on-site in Collingwood and with corporate services and other groups at the head office in Toronto. This position will initially focus mainly on process development, training, and optimizing clinic flows. The role will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, with the overall objective of maximizing financial performance and client satisfaction.

The Accountabilities:

- Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team in preparing the clinic for opening:

- Collaborate with the Product Management team to finalize the product/service mix and intended client experience.
- Provide Finance and Procurement with resource requirements for the clinic including inventory lists, equipment, and uniforms.
- Work with HR to finalize hiring needs, including identifying current employees who will be transferred/cross-trained and interviewing external applicants.
- Provide the Product Team and Leadership Team with timely updates on daily clinic volume, capacity, and overall flow and client feedback.
- Adopt, apply, and optimize current clinic processes from Toronto and Oakville at the Collingwood location and create new processes as needed.
- Drive revenue, working with the sales teams and ensuring on-site employees are motivated, trained, and incentivized accordingly. Help drive client lifetime value via securing net new clients to Medcan, existing client cross-sell, and retention.
- Facilitate financial management including P&L oversight (via a matrixed P&L structure, in conjunction with Product Management), budgeting and forecasting.
- Present updates on clinic performance and initiatives to senior leaders.
- Manage talent including a focus on retention, hiring, and performance management. This includes championing HR and corporate programs and initiatives.
- Work closely with the Chief Operations & Transformation Officer to ensure the clinic’s success and build a comprehensive long-term plan for the clinic.
- Manage a small team of direct reports.

The Requirements:

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience of proven success in a leadership role within a clinical or healthcare setting, ideally a multi-disciplinary private clinic or health unit.
- Some experience in the provision of high-end wellbeing services with a deep focus on client service is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, Nursing or similar field; MBA is an asset.
- Great collaboration skills with an ability to lead and influence others.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Analytical thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement when making decisions.

This is a permanent role with full-time hours. The position will be mainly on-site in Collingwood. Occasional need to travel to the Medcan office at 150 York Street. This role is primarily scheduled during business hours Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
