**Innovation Saskatchewan** supports Saskatchewan’s research community and technology sector to create economic growth and diversity. As the central innovation agency for the Government of Saskatchewan, Innovation Saskatchewan is responsible for implementing the province's innovation priorities and growing the technology sector. Innovation Saskatchewan develops policies and programs and conducts activities that assist in the implementation of research & development, science, and technology for the province. This includes development and operation of Saskatchewan’s research and technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina.
**The Opportunity**
**Primary Responsibilities**
Duties include but are not limited to, the following:
- Working collaboratively with Project Management, Property Management and Technical Operations & Asset Management to successfully manage and execute real property projects
- Providing documentation required for the project/capital approval process
- Developing project plans that address scope, objectives, budget, resource requirements, scheduling, commissioning, and stakeholder communication
- Identifying key risk factors and develop mitigation strategies as required
- Overseeing the process of soliciting and receiving tenders and quotations for assigned development work
- Leading the design development of assigned projects, including selection and engagement of external consultants and management and direction of internal/external resources
- Ensuring designs are in conformance with applicable legislation and codes as well as the standards and practices of the Corporation
- Providing regular project status updates to stakeholders and monitor financial performance to ensure adherence to approved budget
- Ensuring the development and provision of a safe work environment
- Conducting post-project reviews to evaluate project outcomes and oversee close-out procedures
- Other duties as assigned
**What We Want from You**
- Strong understanding of construction project administration and management principles, methods and processes
- Experience in managing commercial construction projects ranging from $10K to $5M
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to make timely decisions and strategically organize and structure daily activities with mínimal direction
- Ability to multitask and manage simultaneous projects and priorities
- Knowledge of construction law and working knowledge of building and fire codes as well as standards, regulations and good management practices related to commercial design development and construction
- A commitment to working as a team to provide exceptional client service
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to build and support a high-performance project team
- High level of professionalism, integrity and accountability
- Proficiency with Microsoft365 programs, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- 5-10 years of experience in commercial design and construction projects or related position preferred
- Project Management Professional certification preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Business Administration or Commerce preferred
