**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Produce accurate, high-quality documentation for LUCID’s hardware and software product range.
- Determine documentation requirements and create documentation plans and schedules for meeting them.
- Research and assimilate technical concepts of technologies, equipment, and products into manuals, install guides, and other technical documentation ensuring usability and concise content.
- Maintain cross-functional communication to ensure documentation accuracy and readiness.
- Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
- Define and enforce consistent terminology across all products and documentation.
- Research, formalize, adhere to, and coach others on industry standard writing styles and formatting protocols.
- Actively participate in improving and maintaining existing documentation.
- Develop and maintain documentation hierarchy, content standards, formatting standards, and templates.
- Ensure document control integrity with document revision history content and proper approval workflow routing.
- Ensure documented processes and methodologies meet ISO 9001 requirements.
- Advise on the appropriateness, applicability and effectiveness of specific technical documents, formats, notations, and technologies.
- Work with the marketing team to publish documentation in an SEO-friendly, searchable, browsable, and automated way.
- Create drawings and illustrations as needed for documents and documentation sets.

**Qualification/Education/Skills**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Communications, Computer Science, or related field; and a minimum 3 years’ experience in technical writing.
- Exceptional writing skills to produce engaging technical content for an engineering audience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality documentation for both hardware and software products.
- Industry knowledge in the field of machine vision is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of technical writing fundamentals, industry standard writing styles and content organization.
- Programming experience or exposure to programming languages and the ability to read code such as C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with setting up, maintaining, or redefining documentation toolchains.
- Familiarity using reStructuredText, Markdown, or equivalent, and with version control systems.
- Self-directed, able to work independently and as part of a team.

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
