For approximately three years, under the general direction of the Manager, D&T Business Partnership, the D&T Transformation
Specialist will lead the Business Unit through its transformation to support the enterprise in the journey to become the Manitoba
Hydro of the future. Will be responsible for guiding the management team through the prioritization, formalization, and execution of
the strategic roadmap, providing coordination across initiatives, and ensuring progress toward transformation goals. This role is
critical for enabling change to build BU capabilities associated with people, process, technology, and data in order to effectively
deliver digital and technology products and services.
The D&T Transformation Specialist will work closely with the Enterprise Excellence Division to ensure that D&T is aligned to
enterprise governance, priorities, and programs.
**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Provide strategic insight, stewardship, governance, and project management support to the Business Unit in order to work
through the transformation.
- Supports initiative teams with skills in process design, facilitation, problem solving, risk identification & mitigation, accelerating
transformation and value creation to drive toward required outcomes.
- Keep D&T leadership informed of any issues or risks concerning the timing of deliverables or coordination/integration of efforts
and consult with the Governance Risk and Compliance Officer as required.
- Working with the Resource Management Lead, will identify gaps in D&T resource capabilities and make recommendations for
improvements, ensuring progress towards transformation goals. Surfaces capacity, pacing, sequencing, resourcing issues
and any other red flag issues needing leadership attention.
- Maintain and execute D&T Communication plan to promote business unit strategic plan and initiatives, accomplishments,
success stories, communities of practice, technology awareness and support an IT culture based on best practice IT
processes. Develop and deliver presentations to audiences both within the BU and other areas within MB Hydro.
- Ensure integration & alignment with the Enterprise Excellence Division with the goal of driving D&T Business Unit alignment
and governance for the transformation. Act as a single point of contact between the D&T BU and the Enterprise Excellence
Division when it comes to reporting of D&T's strategic initiatives and support the D&T Governance Committee, or other related
committees as required.
- Work in coordination with organization change agents to ensure effective development and delivery of complete change
management plans which would include, but is not limited to, communication, training, sustainment, and resistance
management plans.
- Ensures consistent, focused and purpose-driven cross-functional stakeholder engagement and communications to avoid
information gap related risks.
- Liaise with D&T Senior Improvement Officer in support initiative teams with skills in process design (simplification,
improvement & optimization), facilitation, problem solving, risk identification & mitigation, accelerating transformation and
value creation to drive toward required outcomes.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- A four-year degree from an institute of recognized standing in an applicable discipline plus six years of directly related
experience in Business or another relevant discipline, leading strategic planning, organizational/transformational change or
process improvement,
OR
- Completion of two-year diploma from an institute of recognized standing in an applicable discipline plus eight years of directly
related experience in Business or another relevant discipline, leading strategic planning, organizational/transformational
change or process improvement,
OR
- An equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- General knowledge and experience in relation to information technology, the concept of a modern digital workplace and
