Pickering Football Club's All Abilities soccer programs offer children and youth with intellectual and/or physical disabilities an opportunity to participate in specially designed recreational programs. The programs are fully inclusive, designed and adapted for children with any disability or level of behaviour. Whether they use a wheelchair, walker, or wear orthotics, live with an intellectual, communication (ASD) or developmental disability, we provide support (1:1 as needed) and welcome all on the field. PFC's All Abilities programs are at the forefront of development of not only soccer and recreational programs, but also physical literacy programming, quality participation, and recreation/socialization opportunities.

Key

**Responsibilities**:

- Professional, diplomatic, tactful, resourceful, flexible, and dependable
- Monitor and reconcile All Abilities budgets
- Collaborating to develop schedules that meet the requirements of all parties
- Providing one on one support to athletes ensuring they are actively involved in program activities
- Modify programs to ensure athletes can participate and be fully integrated into the setting
- Work with volunteers to ensure they are included in the programs and have appropriate responsibilities
- Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner (e.g., attendance records, drop in sheets, list of hours worked, etc.)
- Ensure the safety of participants, facilities, and equipment at all times
- Understand and implement the policies and procedures of the Pickering Football Club
- Source vendors for the purchase of specialty equipment
- Assist with the recruitment, hiring and training of coaches and volunteers
- Circulate team-specific and program-wide information
- Create marketing and social media campaigns
- Any other such duties as assigned by management

Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge
- Community College diploma in Sport Management, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field
- 1-5 years of coaching experience
- 1-5 years of experience creating programming for people with varying abilities
- Good judgement, and effective program-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, diplomatic, tactful, resourceful, flexible, and dependable
- Must have reliable transportation to move equipment
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Disability Training and asset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour
