**Position summary**
An extensive research project aimed at improving patient care has been undertaken by a team of neonatal investigators. A key sub-component of this research is the creation, storage, and management of a vast repository of cardiorespiratory signals from all NICU bedside monitors. Recent installations at the NICU of Philips' Data Warehouse Connect and the Toolbox respectively store and provide access to this data for specific research purposes.

**General Duties**
As part of this contract, the Data Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Principal Investigator, on behalf of investigators in the NICU and on behalf of the Smart Hospital Project Team, in the implementation of a secure, Montreal Children's Hospital-approved framework for the collection of vital signs, while ensuring data security and integrity. More specifically, the Data Analyst will be responsible for:

- Secured, anonymized export of patient data including: waves, events, alerts, trends,
- Extraction of monitoring data from the data warehouse,
- Development of maintenance schedule and execution of server maintenance,
- Setting up a system for identifying and resolving environmental and infrastructure problems,
- SQL programming for rapid data extraction,
- Validation of information security throughout the process,
- Creation and maintenance of affiliated documentation,
- Monitoring and quality control of data and/or reports in accordance with established standards and practices,
- Responding to requests from the research team,
- Maintenance and linkage of clinical and physiological databases,
- Acting as liaison between the the Information Technology (IT) / Information Security (IS) teams at the McGill University Health Center and the clinical investigators in the NICU.
